At a minimum, I thought the Streetwise Edinburgh map would have an enlarged map of the Royal Mile and New Town, as these areas have the great majority of tourist sights. Instead, these areas are just a tiny part of the largely unreadable map of central Edinburgh. Perversely, there is an enlarged detailed and easily legible map of Leith, but the Royal Yacht Britannia (Leith's big tourist attraction) barely makes it onto the edge of the map. Although laminated and all on one sheet, the addition of a map of the Firth of Forth area and a map of all of Scotland makes this unnecessarily bulky when folded. As another reviewer has commented, this revised version also does not show Edinburgh's not-so-new tram line. For a 3-day visit to Edinburgh proper, I have absolutely no use for a map of the entire country, or even the Firth of Forth, but I would have greatly appreciated a more detailed map of the city itself.

I find these Streetwise maps in general very useful. They have a lot of detail but not too much and are a good size not to be conspicuous, especially if you're the type that doesn't use a smartphone. I love Charleston and visit at every opportunity, which still isn't often enough to have downtown memorized. This map is just what I need. It has two different scale maps of the lower peninsula, and two different scale maps of the environs, which is useful for driving. Plus a small map of North Charleston near the airport.There is one minor error on the maps of downtown. The church at the corner of Broad and Legare is the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, not as the 2012 edition reads, St. John the Divine.Otherwise, nice map and great value for the price.

Before heading into Seattle as an intern this summer, I bought a few foldable maps - each with different strengths and weaknesses. By the end of the summer, the only map living in the front seat of my MINI Cooper was this one. I love it because the streets are clearly labeled. I love it because it shows some of the surrounding neighborhoods, not just the main downtown area. And most of all, I love it because it shows the on and offramps for the freeway. How many times have you hit a bizarre interchange and not known what lane to be in, or been stuck in a maze of one-way streets? This map is absolutely the clearest at indicating directionality of streets, and that's a good thing because Seattle is a pretty messy city to get around in by car.Combine this map with one of the bound King/Pierce/Snohomish County "map books" that are sold at most big box stores in the metro area with detailed grid maps of the entire area, and you'll never get lost. Highly recommended!

It's not what I thought it was It doesn't show all the streets, not what I need to see. The tag showed $6.95 and I paid $25, ridiculous.

I purchased this map to use while on vacation and it was perfect for that purpose. It is laminated and the right size to fit in a hip pocket, purse, etc. The streets on the main map are printed large enough to easily read and many landmarks are clearly highlighted. There is an expanded map of the downtown area including Inner Harbor that does a fantastic job of showing you all the details you need to navigate the area. There are also indexes for streets, universities, museums, hotels, shopping, and other places of interest. While this is by no means an exhaustive street atlas, it does provide a great tool for someone visiting the city. It is especially useful if you plan to focus on the Inner Harbor area where all the major tourist attractions are. It was well worth the few dollars it cost.

It is a sturdy laminated map. It should hold up for awhile. However, I thought it would be a full size map. It is NOT a full size map. it is approximately 8.5" x 19.25" when fully opened. I am sure it will come in handy on our trips there, but disappointed that it is not a detailed view of the entire city. In small print on the front of the map it is labeled 'City Center Street Map of San Antonio,' I didn't notice that when I ordered. It is worth buying, since there really aren't any other options.

We always buy these when we travel - especially internationally or places with public transit where it's easy to follow the lines. I automatically ordered one when we booked our Seattle trip, but found we didn't use it at all - the city is easy to navigate. I definitely recommend the brand (we have many in Europe, New York, etc), but just skip out on the Seattle map :) I did love the brand so much we bought ones for our home city (Houston) and put in the hotel gift bags for out-of-towners at our wedding.

These maps are coated and yet thin. Very informative for getting around. San Francisco has a version that folds up and will fit into your wallet!
